Vengeful Wildcat Takes Chick Lang

Vengeful Wildcat, the slight 2.20-1 favorite, battled Chipshot throughout to win the $100,000 Chick Lang Stakes for 3-year-olds at Pimlico on the Preakness undercard.

In a virtual match race, Chipshot and Vengeful Wildcat hooked up from the opening bell and posted splits of :23.44 and :46.26. Chipshot held a 1/2 length advantage through a half but Vengeful Wildcat kept on chugging away and got the job done by a neck under Carlos Marquez Jr.
