Vekoma, Tiz the Law, Oleksandra lead Friday's graded stakes works

It was a busy day for leading Breeders' Cup contenders on Friday morning. Belmont Stakes winner and Breeders' Cup Classic contender Tiz the Law blazed five-furlongs in a sparkling time of :57.80 at Belmont Park for trainer Barclay Tagg.

Vekoma, who figures among the favorites in either the Breeders' Cup Sprint or Dirt Mile, worked an easy five-furlongs in 1:02.60 at Saratoga for trainer George Weaver. Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint contender Oleksandra returned to the work for the first time since her impressive win in the Jaipur in June for trainer Neil Drysdale. The talented mare went three-furlongs in :38.0 at Belmont Park.
