GODOLPHIN'S Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner has been hit by a bout of colic and will miss Saturday UAE Derby on the Dubai World Cup card.
The son of Invincible Spirit could finish only fifth on his seasonal debut on March 4 behind stablemate Mendip in a Listed race at Meydan.
Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford revealed news of the setback on the Dubai team'swebsite.
"We hope that Vale Of York makes a full recovery soon but obviously right now, all future plans are on hold for him," he said.
