This year 19 contenders have shipped to Del Mar from Japan, the most ever. Familiar faces Forever Young and Ushba Tesoro are is the Classic, but Japan has sent its best to compete in the Distaff, Turf, Sprint and Juvenile as well.

How do you compare their form to those from Europe and the U.S.? Which are long shots worth using, and which just will be burning money?

Learn which Japan-based horses are best bets this year in this new video from Horse Racing Nation’s Mike Shutty.
