Using AI Kentucky Derby matching tool to find superfecta keys

Having exhausted all of my "traditional" methods of handicapping the Kentucky Derby and coming up with no. 11 Forever Young, no. 7 Honor Marie, no. 21 Epic Ride and no. 7 Fierceness made me think I had room for another price I had yet to consider.

As noted above, I have a few horses I am using with all my aforementioned top selections. Other more-fancied runners such as Sierra Leone will require Fierceness out of the number.

Of the "use w/ 7, 11, 17, 21" horses, no. 19 Resilience is who I added because of the Horse Racing Nation matching tool, which uses artificial intelligence to compare this year's Kentucky Derby entrants with previous runners. Resilience's closest match is to 2009 upset winner Mine That Bird and another somewhat-close match is to 2019 upset winner (via disqualification) Country House.

I initially had Resilience as a "use at the bottom with my top picks" but had to upgrade him based on matching with two of the last 14 winners of a May Derby. Given his expected price (20-1 morning line), I'll trust the AI tool that the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) winner is at least a good play to outrun his odds-just as his best match Mine That Bird did.
