If you're placing a win bet on the Belmont Stakes, this might be a good day to check out advanced will pays for other wagers leading into the final leg of the Triple Crown.
That's because the Top 2 choices -- Tacitus (5-2) and War of Will (9-2) -- continue to hover above their projected morning line odds as of 1:15 p.m. ET. They may stay there, too, as national pools appeared to converge with on-track wagering showing just north of $1.9 million in win bets placed.
Numbers are still capable of shifting, so we'll continue to track what has amounted to a balanced tote board for the 1 1/2-mile Belmont up until post time at 6:37 p.m.
Tacitus, a son of Tapit trained by Bill Mott, enters the Belmont off a third-place finish in the Kentucky Derby. This season he also won a pair of Grade 2 stakes, the Wood Memorial and Tampa Bay Derby.
War of Will, the Preakness Stakes winner for trainer Mark Casse, will be the only horse to run in all three legs of the Triple Crown. He's also a winner of Fair Grounds' Lecomte (G3) and Risen Star (G2) this year.
Intrepid Heart, a Todd Pletcher-trained half-brother of the 2014 Belmont runner-up Commissioner, is the current third choice at 5-1. The longest shot remains Joevia, who at 15-1 is expected to set the race pace from the rail.
