With Justify having drawn the rail for the 2018 Belmont Stakes, it's up to handicappers to decide whether that's a negative in his bid for a Triple Crown sweep. We recommend starting with the past performances.

Courtesy of Brisnet.com, free Belmont PPs include running lines for all 10 contenders, plus at the end of the document are comparisons for various speed figures, including early pace. In this case, only one rival appears to be able to match Justify's speed on the front end.

Also particularly key for the Belmont -- at 1 1/2 miles, the longest of the three Triple Crown races -- are pedigree basics. Brisnet past performances include average winning distances of progeny by horses' sires and dams, as well as their success over off tracks in case of rain this weekend in New York.

Justify tops nearly every statistical category, such as speed last race, class and towers over the Belmont field with his Prime Power which, according to Brisnet, "accurately measures the demonstrated quality of each horse's most recent starts and consolidates them into one composite rating."

The only area in which Justify appears vulnerable is the late pace from his last race, the Preakness Stakes. Hofburg tops that list, part of why he's the second morning line choice.
