With post positions set and a morning line installed, now the real handicapping can begin for Saturday's Belmont Stakes. Courtesy of Brisnet, free past performances are now available for a field of 10 set to go in New York

The cast is led by 9-5 favorite Tacitus, placed third in the Kentucky Derby for trainer Bill Mott, who will look to give sire Tapit his fourth Belmont score in six years. The top challenger is War to Will, the 2-1 second choice coming off a victory in the Preakness Stakes.

In addition to providing recent running lines, Brisnet PPs rank contenders on speed and pace figures, plus detail running styles. Don't miss the ultimate comments, either, which point out key stats for each horse.

Mark Casse trains War of Will, but it's his other entry, Sir Winston, who boasts the top last race Brisnet Speed Rating of 101. The Prime Power rankings are more chalky, with Tacitus, War of Will and the Todd Pletcher-trained Spinoff the Top 3.

If concerned about distance limitations given the Belmont's 1 1/2-mile configuration, Brisnet also provides the average winning distance of progeny for both sires and dam's sires. Those numbers would seem to give Tax credence as a contender in Saturday's race.
