Owned by Edward J. Brown, Jr. and Phil Lebherz, Unusual Way earned $40,560.
Walther Solis will send out a pair sired by Awesome Gambler – debut winner Awe Golly Molly and two race maiden Awesome Annie.
Owned by a partnership that includes London, Winters and Templeton Horses LLC,
Awe Golly Molly won by three-quarters of a length April 26. Out of the
All Gone mare Molly’s Gone, Awe Golly Molly earned $31,200.
Awesome Annie was runner-up in her races 15 days apart in May for
the same partnership that owns Awe Golly Molly. Out of the Mane Minister
mare Cars and Cigars, she has banked $27,040.
Another daughter of Awesome Gambler – Awe’ Some Kitten – will aim
for her second win in a row for trainer Gary Sherlock. She wired eight
foes as the 19-10 favorite May 17 for a partnership that includes Neil
Haymes, Templeton Horses LLC and breeder Terry Lovingier. Awe’ Some Kitten, who is out of the Sir Cat mare Run Kitty Run, has earned $37,440.
Harrington bred, owns and trains Tilde, who won by a half-length at
8-1 in her debut May 20. The daughter of Swiss Yodeler and the Cee’s
Tizzy mare self Taught earned $40,560.
Set’n On Ready arrives from Arizona off a 12 length win against
maidens May 4. Molly Pearson trains the More Than Ready filly out of the
Giant’s Causeway mare Laughingly forowner Tom Ramsey. She earned $8,703
in two starts at Turf Paradise.
Gloryandprayer scored at nearly 11-1 against $40,000 maidens in her
initiation for owner-breeders James and Sylvia Didion and trainer Steve
Knapp. The victory by the daughter of Songandaprayer and the Honour and
Glory mare First Glory was worth $16,200.
Miss Empire was fourth in her bow May 5 for the Barbers and Kevin
Tsujihara and trainer Peter Miller. The Empire Maker filly out of the
Rajab mare Miss Excitement –making her a half-sister to stakes winning
sprinter Bordonaro – earned $3,120 for the effort.
Ward, who won the 2003 Cinderella with Yogi’s Polar Bear, will send
out Emotional Kitten. Owned by breeder Ken and Sarah Ramsey, Emotional
Kitten was second in her debut May 11 at Arlington. She’s by a daughter
of Kitten’s Joy and the Ghazi mare Silent Emotion. The runner-up
performance was worth $8,000.
