Today's Derby contender works included a five furlong breeze from Uncle Mo. The 2-year-old champ worked in company with Calibrachoa. Santa Anita Derby hero Midnight Interlude and Risen Star runner-up Santiva also breezed under the Twin Spires on Tuesday morning.  

 

#1 Uncle Mo – Breezed 5f in 1:01.80 (10/25) at Churchill Downs (sloppy track).

#12 Midnight Interlude - 6f bullet in 1:13.60 (1/9) at Churchill.

#13 Santiva – 4f breeze in :49.20 (18/42) at Churchill.

Notes:

 

Uncle Mo, with John Velazquez aboard, finished up in :24.48 and galloped out six furlongs in 1:15.56 and seven panels in 1:32.30. Santiva worked in company with Shotgun Shine and went his final quarter in :24.72. Edddie Kenneally's Derby hopeful galloped out five furlongs in 1:03.22. Midnight Interlude lost his team drill with Mythical Power. The Factor missed a scheduled work because of the wet weather in Louisville and will not run in the Kentucky Derby. J P's Gusto will relocate to New York. Mike Hushion will train and he is no longer pointing to the Derby. Shackleford and Twinspired now have the earnings to make the Derby field and the new bubble horses are Silver Medallion and Anthony's Cross.
