U.S., Canada bettors now have access to more Australian races
Starting Saturday, North America bettors will be able to wager on races in Victoria and South Australia, effectively gaining access to racing from all Australian states and territories.
The restoration comes as Tabcorp and Racing Victoria finalized a long-term domestic, international and digital media rights agreement that expands the global distribution of Victorian Thoroughbred racing, including across the U.S. and Canada, through Sky Racing World.
Under the agreement, Sky Racing World remains the exclusive North American broadcast distribution partner, strengthening access for North American ADWs, racetracks, and simulcast networks.
Effective Saturday, the updated product will provide North American partners and horseplayers with a comprehensive, unified Australian racing schedule featuring nationwide coverage across all jurisdictions, expanded overnight live racing aligned with U.S. and Canadian wagering hours, ands treamlined distribution across retail and digital platforms.
David Haslett, CEO and President of Sky Racing World, said:
“Our international racing business continues to grow, and restoring full Australian coverage through Sky Racing World, the home of Australian Racing, ensures North American wagering partners and fans can once again access a complete and compelling Australian racing product. The return of racing from Victoria and South Australia strengthens our overnight content offering and reinforces our commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality racing to our U.S. and Canadian partners.”
The agreement positions Victorian thoroughbred racing for continued growth and deeper engagement within the North American racing market, starting with the premium Group One Racing events such as the Newmarket Handicap and Australian Cup scheduled in March.
