Thorpedo Anna, the 2024 horse of the year who got back to her winning ways last out in the Grade 2 Fleur de Lis, worked Tuesday for the first time since that race.

The 4-year-old Fast Anna filly trained by Kenny McPeek breezed four furlongs on Saratoga's dirt training track in 50.6 seconds, 19th fastest of 21 at the track and distance. She's expected to make her next start at the Spa in the Personal Ensign (G1) on Aug. 23.

Thorpedo Anna won of six of seven starts last year, including the Kentucky Oaks (G1) and the Breeders' Cup Distaff. Her only loss last year was a second-place finish by a head to Fierceness in the Travers (G1). This year, she won the Azeri (G2) and Apple Blossom (G1) before finishing seventh in the La Troienne (G1), the only time in her career she failed to hit the board.
