Tuesday works: Deterministic leads 11 graded winners on tab

Deterministic breezed five furlongs in 1:00.8 at Belmont Park on Tuesday morning. It was the second fastest of three works at the distance. This marked his first timed work since his last race.

Deterministic won the Fort Marcy (G3) at Aqueduct on May 2, leading gate to wire for the second straight year. He closed his 4-year-old season with a pair of Grade 1 scores at Saratoga, taking the Manhattan on June 8 and the Fourstardave on Aug. 2. Deterministic has a career record of 16: 8-3-1 with earnings of $2,084,765 for owner St. Elias Stable, Ken Langone, Steven Duncker and Vicarage Stable.

Next (Not This Time), a three-time Grade 2 winner (2024 Brooklyn, 2023 Brooklyn, 2022 Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance), worked five furlongs in 1:01.0 at Turfway Park on Tuesday morning. It was the third fastest of four works at the distance. His previous work was 12 days ago going five furlongs at Turfway Park. In his last start he placed 14th in the Breeders' Cup Classic going 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Del Mar on Nov. 2 for trainer Doug Cowans.
