Tuesday works: 10 graded-stakes winners are on the tab

Master Piece, a three-time graded stakes winner for trainer Rick Dutrow, worked a half-mile Tuesday morning at Belmont Park.

The 9-year-old ridgling breezed the four furlongs in 49.55 seconds, 18th fastest of 29 works at the distance.

Master Piece's most recent start was a ninth-place finish in the Grade 2 Red Smith in November. He was given a break after that and returned to the tab at Belmont in March.

Sandman (Tapit), a Grade 1 winner (2025 Arkansas Derby), worked four furlongs in 49.6 seconds at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the 18th fastest of 23 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Arkansas Derby (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on March 29 for trainer Mark Casse.

Master Piece (Mastercraftsman), a three-time Grade 2 winner (2024 Fort Marcy, 2023 Red Smith, 2022 Eddie Read), worked four furlongs in 49.5 seconds at Belmont Park on Tuesday morning. It was the 18th fastest of 29 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he placed ninth in the Red Smith (G2) going 1 3/8 miles on the turf at Aqueduct on Nov. 9 for trainer Rick Dutrow.

Coal Battle (Coal Front), a Grade 2 winner (2025 Rebel), worked five furlongs in 1:01.2 at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the 14th fastest of 21 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Downs. In his last start he placed third in the Arkansas Derby (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on March 29 for trainer Lonnie Briley.

Emmanuel (More Than Ready), a Grade 2 winner (2022 Pennine Ridge), worked five furlongs in 59.6 seconds at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the second fastest of 21 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Downs. In his last start he placed 11th in a handicap going one mile and 70 yards on the synthetic at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 25 for trainer Mike Maker.

Touchuponastar (Star Guitar), a Grade 2 winner (2025 New Orleans Classic), worked five furlongs in 1:03.4 at The Training Center At Copper Crowne on Tuesday morning. It was the third fastest of six works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the New Orleans Classic (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on March 22 for trainer Jeff Delhomme.

Call Me Midnight (Midnight Lute), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Lecomte), worked five furlongs in 1:03.0 at Louisiana Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 20 works at the distance. His previous work was 10 days ago going four furlongs at Louisiana Downs. In his last start he placed seventh in a claiming race going six furlongs on the main track at Fair Grounds on March 21 for trainer Keith Desormeaux.
