Tuesday tab: Arcangelo fires a bullet + 11 other graded winners

Arcangelo breezed four furlongs in a bullet time of 47.62 seconds at Saratoga on Tuesday in his first work since winning the Grade 1 Travers.

Trainer Jena Antonucci told Daily Racing Form that she was looking to get back into a routine with the Arrogate colt ahead of the Breeders' Cup Classic. She said he'll have one more work at Saratoga before later this month or in early October to California, where he'll have three works at Santa Anita.

Whitney (G1) winner White Abarrio worked at Belmont Park, also ahead of an expected start in the Classic. He went four furlongs in 48.21 seconds, fastest of 24 at the distance.

Arcangelo (Arrogate), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2023 Travers, 2023 Belmont), worked four furlongs in 47.6 at Saratoga on Tuesday morning. It was the fastest of eight works at the distance. This is his first work since his last race. In his last start he won the Travers (G1) going 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 26 for trainer Jena M. Antonucci.

War Like Goddess (English Channel), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2022 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic, 2021 Flower Bowl), worked four furlongs in 49.4 at Saratoga on Tuesday morning. It was the sixth fastest of 14 works at the distance. Her previous work was 10 days ago going four furlongs at Saratoga. In her last start she placed second in the Glens Falls (G2) going 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Saratoga on Aug. 3 for trainer Bill Mott.

White Abarrio (Race Day), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2023 Whitney, 2022 Florida Derby), worked four furlongs in 48.2 at Belmont Park on Tuesday morning. It was the fastest of 24 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he won the Whitney (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 5 for trainer Richard E. Dutrow Jr.

Secret Oath (Arrogate), a Grade 1 winner (2022 Kentucky Oaks), worked five furlongs in 1:00.0 at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the fastest of 13 works at the distance. Her previous work was 9 days ago going five furlongs at Saratoga. In her last start she placed second in the Personal Ensign (G1) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Saratoga on Aug. 25 for trainer D. Wayne Lukas.

Defunded (Dialed In), a two-time Grade 1 winner (2023 Hollywood Gold Cup, 2022 Awesome Again), worked four furlongs in 48.4 at Del Mar on Tuesday morning. It was the 11th fastest of 27 works at the distance. This is his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed sixth in the Pacific Classic (G1) going 1 1/4 miles on the main track at Del Mar on Sept. 2 for trainer Bob Baffert.

Slipstream (More Than Ready), a Grade 3 winner (2021 Futurity), worked four furlongs in 49.7 at Belmont Park on Tuesday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 8 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Belmont Park. In his last start he placed seventh in an allowance race going 5 1/2 furlongs on the turf at Saratoga on Aug. 23 for trainer Christophe Clement.

Call Me Midnight (Midnight Lute), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Lecomte), worked three furlongs in 38.0 at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the seventh fastest of 8 works at the distance. His previous work was 31 days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Downs. In his last start he placed sixth in an allowance race going 1 1/16 miles on the turf at Ellis Park on July 30 for trainer Keith Desormeaux.

First Mission (Street Sense), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Lexington), worked four furlongs in 48.4 at Churchill Downs on Tuesday morning. It was the sixth fastest of 43 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Churchill Downs. Cellist (Big Blue Kitten), a Grade 3 winner (2022 Louisville), worked four furlongs in 50.4 at Keeneland on Tuesday morning. It was the eighth fastest of 11 works at the distance. His previous work was 12 days ago going five furlongs at Keeneland. In his last start he placed second in the KY Downs Preview Turf Cup going 1 1/4 miles on the turf at Ellis Park on Aug. 6 for trainer Rusty Arnold.

Raise Cain (Violence), a Grade 3 winner (2023 Gotham), worked four furlongs in 48.2 at Keeneland on Tuesday morning. It was the fastest of 11 works at the distance. His previous work was 11 days ago going four furlongs at Keeneland. In his last start he placed fourth in the West Virginia Derby (G3) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Mountaineer on Aug. 6 for trainer Ben Colebrook.

Eastern Bay (E Dubai), a Grade 3 winner (2023 General George), worked four furlongs in 49.8 at The Thoroughbred Center on Tuesday morning. It was the 12th fastest of 20 works at the distance. This is his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed 10th in the Charles Town Classic (G2) going 1 1/8 miles on the main track at Charles Town on Aug. 25 for trainer Raymond E.
