True Quality Retired to Indiana

Grade II winner True Quality has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Don and Dana Myers’ Swifty Farms near Seymour, Ind. The 6-year-old son of Elusive Quality out of the stakes-winning Seeking the Gold mare Louve Mysterieuse will stand for $2,500 live foal.

A $280,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky October sale yearling, True Quality set the pace in all five of his wins, including a victory in the General George Handicap (gr. II) at Laurel Park over grade I winner Fabulous Strike. True Quality’s other stakes win came in the Paumonok Handicap in his previous start.

“As a top-class, grade II-winning sprinter he will be very popular among breeders in Indiana, as well as our neighbors in Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, and Ohio who want to take advantage of Indiana’s lucrative state-bred program,” manager Christina Lawton said. “Now they have a great reason to breed back in our state.”
