Ghislaine Head's Trophee has some big shoes to fill as a half-sister to two-time Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Treve, but trainer Christophe Clement was impressed with her victory Wednesday in an allowance race on the turf, and said she may see stakes company in the near future.
"She's a nice filly. She won well," said Clement. "She has been improving from 3 to 4-years-old. She'll be great to get some black type at some stage. I'm not sure where but we'll have to think about it."
Trophee has reached the winner's circle two times this year through five starts.
Another up-and-coming star in the Clement stable is Tiztalented. The 3-year-old Virginia-bred filly by Tiznow out of Untouched Talent broke her maiden in impressive fashion on the grass Thursday at the Spa.
"She ran well. The piece of the puzzle never got quite together in New York at Belmont. She has been training better since she came here," Clement said. "She ran without a doubt the best race of her life [on Thursday]. We don't want to run her back too soon but we'll try and find another race going long at Belmont and we will go from there."
Clement also gave an update on three of his stable's older stars Friday morning.Discreet Marq will either be running in the Grade 2, $400,000 Ketel One Ballston Spa on the Travers undercard August 29 or the $150,000 Yaddo Stakes for New York-breds on August 28.
"Discreet Marq is doing very well. She worked yesterday morning. She's eligible for the Ballston Spa and the Yaddo. I will talk to her owner sometime this week and we will make a decision," said Clement.
Multiple graded stakes winner Lubash had a bit of a scare this summer when he hurt himself getting loose at Belmont, but is back on track though no return to the races is imminent for the talented New York-bred.
"Lubash got loose about a month ago at Belmont. He got very scared because he really hurt himself. I was very worried about running again but we gave him the time and he is doing well," Clement said.
Robert Evans' Tonalist, who most recently finished third in the Grade 1 Whitney Stakes, is also doing well.
"Tonalist is doing great. He's still eligible for the Woodward [Grade 1, $600,000, September 5 at Saratoga]. The main goal would be the Jockey Club Gold Cup [Grade 1, $1 million, October 3 at Belmont]. I will speak with Mr. Evans this week and we'll make a decision," said Clement.

The second running of the $100,000 Summer Colony on Monday at Saratoga features a field of six fillies and mares headed by Tiz So Sweet.
Making only her second start of the year for Kinsman Stable and Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, Tiz So Sweet broke her maiden in her second career start in December 2013. She followed that up with an allowance victory in May 2014 before making a start in the Grade 1 Acorn of that year, in which she finished fifth.

In her most recent race, the 4-year-old daughter of Tiznow was impressive winning by 6 ½ lengths on July 27 at Saratoga in an optional claiming race, defeating fellow entrant Samantha Nicole.
Set to leave from the rail, Tiz So Sweet will be ridden by Junior Alvarado, who has been aboard for all her races.
Chad Brown, who Thursday moved into a tie with Todd Pletcher for leading trainer at the meet with 22 wins, will saddle Catch My Drift for Hidden Brook Farm. A 4-year-old daughter of Pioneerof the Nile, she last raced on June 24 at Belmont in an optional claiming race, where she finished second to Hot Stones, who came back to win the Saratoga Dew Stakes on Monday.
With meet-leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. in the irons, Catch My Drift will leave from post 3.
Rounding out the field are 5-year-old Montana Native, who is coming off consecutive third-place finishes in the Lady's Secret Stakes at Monmouth Park and the Grade 3 Obeah at Delaware Park; Holiday's Jewel for trainer Mitch Friedman and Sunny Meadow Farm; and Imposing Grace for Coffeepot Stables.
