The Triple Crown Tracker checks in with the horses who raced in the 2025 Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont, keeping up with what they have done since the classics.

2025 Kentucky Derby

A trio of horses from the 2025 Kentucky Derby have been in action recently. Chunk of Gold faced older foes for the first time in Friday's Grade 2 Clark at Churchill Downs and put forth a strong effort. Setting a swift pace for the distance, he was just caught late by Magnitude and Hit Show but finished only a half-length short of the top prize.

Flying Mohawk also raced recently in graded-stakes company. In the Commonwealth Turf (G3) at Churchill Downs on Nov. 22, he tracked in range and made an early move but came up empty in the lane. He weakened to finish 10th and last behind Giocoso.

Grade 1-placed Publisher still seeks his elusive first win. He dropped back into maiden special weight company Nov. 20 at Churchill Downs and was sent off the odds-on favorite in the 1 1/16-mile dirt race. He chased earnestly to the finish, but frontrunning Crisis Manager kept on going. Publisher had to settle for second, 2 1/4 lengths behind the gate-to-wire winner.

2025 Preakness Stakes

Heart of Honor, racing for the first time since the Belmont, returned to the winners' circle for the first time since January. A two-time winner during the 2024-25 Dubai winter carnival, Heart of Honor showed he loves Meydan as much as ever. Returning in a Nov. 21 conditions race over the same dirt-mile trip at which he already had won twice, Heart of Honor started slowly but unleashed a good rally in the lane. He drew clear to win by 7 1/4 lengths, setting himself up for another promising winter in the United Arab Emirates.

Two others from the Preakness field recently faced stakes company. Gosger tracked midfield in the Clark but couldn't find a kick in the lane and finished sixth, 5 3/4 lengths behind Magnitude. Pay Billy returned Saturday at Laurel in the City of Laurel Stakes. Racing for the first time since the Preakness, he settled off the pace and chased on mildly in the lane but settled for sixth, four lengths behind winner Zero Blitz.

2025 Belmont Stakes

Crudo, the longest shot in a field of four, tracked the pace in the Dwyer at Aqueduct on Nov. 8. He could not keep pace with Disco Time in the lane but kept on second best, crossing the wire 9 3/4 lengths behind that foe. He sold for $350,000 at Keeneland November, and according to a report from Joe Nevills at Paulick Report, he has been sold to race for HRH Prince Faisal bin Khaled bin Abdulaziz in Saudi Arabia. His new connections have the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup (G3), a Saudi Cup (G1) qualifier, in mind. Uncaged also sold at Keeneland November for $110,000. According to Nevills, Uncaged was sold to an owner based in Kuwait.
