The Triple Crown Tracker checks in with the horses who raced in the 2024 Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont, keeping up with what they have done since the classics.

2024 Kentucky Derby

Horses from the 2024 Kentucky Derby swept the podium in Saturday's Breeders' Cup Classic. Sierra Leone, who missed by a nose in the Kentucky Derby, scored his signature victory when overhauling Fierceness to win the Breeders' Cup Classic by 1 1/2 lengths. Fierceness, near a flying pace early, ran an excellent race in second. Forever Young, racing stateside for the first time since his third-place finish in the Kentucky Derby, kept on to finish third, 1 1/4 lengths behind Fierceness.

Domestic Product, who emerged as more effective going shorter than the classic distance, finished his career with a late-running third-place finish behind Full Serrano in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. He has been retired to Coolmore's Ashford Stud, where he will stand for $30,000.

Society Man also was in action recently. Stepping down into allowance company for his first start since the West Virginia Derby (G3), he rallied in a 1 1/8-mile allowance at Keeneland on Oct. 24 but could not reel in wire-to-wire winner Woodcourt.

Two runners from the 2024 Kentucky Derby, Track Phantom and West Saratoga, are entered for upcoming races. Track Phantom is scheduled to make his first start since the Kentucky Derby on Saturday at Churchill Downs in a seven-furlong optional-claiming allowance race on the dirt. He drew post 8 in a field of 12, plus four also-eligible entrants. West Saratoga is entered Wednesday, also at Churchill Downs, in a 7 1/2-furlong allowance on the dirt. He drew post 3 in a field of nine.

2024 Preakness Stakes

Preakness winner Seize the Grey, coming off a win in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1), was bumped in the early stages of Saturday's Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile and never fired, finishing eighth, 7 1/2 lengths behind winner Full Serrano. The race was his first try against older company.

On Oct. 26 at Santa Anita, Imagination made his first start since a third-place finish in the Shared Belief. He attended the pace three deep and edged to a half-length lead mid-stretch but could not hold off the re-rally of pacesetter Tarantino and settled for second by a head.

Mugatu, last seen finishing third in the Maryland Million Classic, returns to the races Saturday in an allowance optional claiming race at Gulfstream. He drew the outermost post of 12 in the first-level turf mile for horses aged 3 and up.

2024 Belmont Stakes

On Oct. 25 at Keeneland, Protective made his first start since running 10th in the Pennsylvania Derby. He returned in a first-level allowance at 1 3/16 miles on the lawn. Protective settled last of 12, and though he did make up some late ground, he had to settle for fourth, 4 3/4 lengths behind long-shot winner Native Shaman, who was more forwardly placed.
