2023 Kentucky Derby
Six horses line up for Saturday's Perryville Stakes at Keeneland, and fully half the field ran in the Kentucky Derby. The even-money morning-line favorite is rail-drawn Verifying, who makes his first start since finishing second in the H. Allen Jerkens (G1) at Saratoga. Raise Cain, drawn in post 4 and set at 4-1 on the morning line, cuts back to one turn for the first time since he won the Gotham (G3) at Aqueduct in March. Confidence Game, 9-2 on the morning line and drawn in post 2, returns in the Perryville for his first start since the Kentucky Derby.
Cyclone Mischief, 18th and last in the Kentucky Derby, returned to the work tab on Sunday for the first time since the run for the roses.

2023 Preakness Stakes
First Mission, the morning-line second choice who was scratched from the Preakness with a tender hind ankle, returned to the racetrack in winning fashion Saturday at Keeneland. In a second-level allowance against quality older horses at 1 1/16 miles on the dirt, First Mission was sent off the 2-5 favorite. He encountered traffic into the lane but rallied to get the best of a four-horse blanket finish over Grade 1-placed Commandperformance, Grade 3-placed Cooke Creek, and classic-placed Creative Minister.

2023 Belmont Stakes
No one from the 2023 Belmont has been in the entry box recently, though several are actively on the work tab. Arcangelo shipped out to California for final Breeders' Cup Classic preparations and posted his second West Coast drill Sunday. Il Miracolo recently drilled at Gulfstream Park, and Red Route One is training at Remington.
