Triple Crown Tracker: See latest on 3-year-old stars

Several 2021 Kentucky Derby contenders, including Midnight Bourbon and Bourbonic, ran Saturday in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1), at Parx. Another Derby alumnus, Hot Rod Charlie, earned the win in that race.

Two more Derby horses were scheduled to run, but Medina Spirit and Keepmeinmind both scratched.

2021 Belmont Stakes winner Essential Quality is headed straight for the Breeders' Cup Classic after his last race, a victory in the Travers (G1) at Saratoga on Aug. 28. He likely will face off against Hot Rod Charlie once again in that race.
