Travers Stakes 2016: Post Time and TV Schedule

The Travers Stakes 2016 post time is approximately 5:44 PM ET this Saturday, August 27. NBC will have live coverage of Saratoga Race Course from 4:30 – 6 PM ET.

The Travers will be the featured Grade 1 event of the day, with Preakness and Haskell winner Exaggerator and Belmont victor Creator among the top competitors in the 14 horse field. Five other Grade 1 races will be on the Travers undercard: the Personal Ensign, the Ballerina, the King’s Bishop, the Forego, and the Sword Dancer Invitational. The Grade 2 Ballston Spa will also be on the Travers undercard, where undefeated Lady Eli will return after overcoming laminitis. The four-year-old filly just might make herself the biggest story of the day.

Also, from 2 - 4:30 p.m., Fox Sports 2 will telecast live the Grade 1, $750,000 Personal Ensign (post time approximately 2:23 p.m.), the Grade 1, $500,000 Ballerina (post time 2:59 p.m.), the Grade 1, $500,000 Ketel One King's Bishop (post time 3:35 p.m.) and the Grade 1 Priority Jets Forego (post time 4:12 p.m.)
