A trainer's beef with a jockey's losing ride went public on Twitter after Wednesday's second race at Fair Grounds.

Brian Hernandez Jr. got the pickup ride aboard About Our Time in place of his brother, Colby Hernandez, for trainer Karl Broberg. In the 5 1/2-furlong turf claimer, About Our Time found himself in traffic before a belated rally to get fourth, 2 3/4-lengths adrift of winner Spectrolite.

A 7-year-old gelding for owner Kenneth White, About Our Time was the 2-1 second choice in an eight-horse field. The Equibase chart tells its version of the race:

"About Our Time dropped back while crowded against the rail early then settled off the inside, went two then three wide on the turn, came four wide into the stretch, lacked room briefly when a foe came in near the three-sixteenths, hesitated to go through an opening until the furlong marker and then was roused at that point, altered out from behind horses around the sixteenth pole and was gaining but belatedly on the scene."

The ride by Hernandez Jr. prompted Broberg to make the following tweet:

And he wasn't finished there:

That drew a response from Hernandez:

To which Broberg replied:

Two races later, Hernandez Jr. would win aboard favored Wentru for Eclipse Award-winning trainer Brad Cox.
