Trainer Says Cirrus Could Improve Again

CORINE BARANDE-BARBE believes there could be even more to come from Cirrus Des Aigles, as she applies the finishing touches to the world's second highest rated horse ahead of his summit meeting with Frankel in Saturday's Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot.

"He needs a lot of conditioning and only races will give him that," said Barande-Barbe during a press visit to her Chantilly yard. "Each time you think he's at his best and then he does better. It's like a miracele because he wins a race and then he just improves again."

The six-year-old returned from more than four months off with a nine-length cruise in the Prix Dollar on Arc weekend, after which his official rating was raised a pound despite the race only being a Group 2.
