JAPANESE raider Orfevre will become the first horse since Dalakhani in 2003 to defy a double-figure draw in the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe if he is successful on Sunday.
The draw for the Longchamp highlight was made on Friday morning with Orfevre in 18 and main market-rival Camelot in five, where Bago came from to win the Arc in 2004.
The task facing Orfevre is highlighted by the stalls the last ten winners have been drawn in. They read two, eight, six, one, six, four, six, five, 14 and three.
As a result Camelot is now favourite, generally around the 5-2 mark, with Orfevre a top-priced 4-1 with Paddy Power.
