Marching towards history

Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta won again without batting an eye. Rachel Alexandra won the Mother Goose by a pole while Zenyatta stretched out her long legs to another decisive victory.

In the Mother Goose, only two rivals were up to facing Rachel, and when Malibu Prayer and Flashing cooked each other through sizzling fractions, it was only a matter of how many lengths Miss Preakness would win by. I lost track at twenty!

The final time of 1:46.33 established a new stakes record.

At Hollywood Park, Zenyatta packed 129 pounds and faced five rivals. Nothing slows down the win machine, and she won by a calculated two and one-half lengths under regular pilot Mike Smith. The win streak stands at 11.

We can only hope that the dynamic duo meet at some point later in the year.
