With six Super Bowl titles and potentially one more on the way Sunday, Tom Brady knows about winning at football. The future Hall of Famer is also known for the occasional pilgrimage to Churchill Downs to partake in the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby.

On Sunday, a sports journalist took to Twitter to share a story on the Brady "philosophy" of owning a winning racehorse. From Joe Pompliano, a part-time racehorse owner and author of the daily newsletter realhuddleup.com.

According to a Boston Globe article from 2007, the horse was actually named Guts Game and was owned by a partnership for Little Red Feather that reportedly included Brady, Jay Z and former MLB All Star Paul LoDuca among others.

According to Equibase, Guts Game was purchased by Little Red Feather for $165,000 at the 2006 Keeneland April 2-year-olds in training sale. He would finish second in his first two starts at Belmont Park for Gary Contessa before earning his diploma in November 2006. Guts Game would race five more seasons while compiling a record of 43: 6-6-5 with earnings of $164,706.
