Today's Derby contender works included a five furlong bullet from impressive San Felipe winner Premier Pegasus. He usually gets a stiff morning move a week prior to running and he goes next in the Santa Anita Derby on April 9.     

 

#2 Premier Pegasus – 5f bullet in :59.20 (1/17) at Santa Anita.

#8 Santiva - Breezed 6f in 1:13.50 (1/2) at Palm Meadows.

#11 Bench Points - 5f in :59.80 (4/17) at Santa Anita.

#12 Jaycito – 6f in 1:13.40 (3/4) at Santa Anita. 

#29 Pluck- 5f (turf) in 1:05.90 (3/12) at Palm Meadows.

#35 Alternation - 5f breeze in 1:01.40 (6/37) at Oaklawn Park.

Fort Larned (#75) went 4f in :52.80 (19/20) at Churchill Downs. Manicero (#85) drilled a bullet 5f in 1:01 (1/32) at Calder. Ronin Dax (#142) breezed 4f in :49.40 (19/60) at Tampa Bay. Maybesomaybenot (#143) worked 4f in :52.40 (7/10) at Churchill (training track). Adulare, Bail Out The Cat, Casper's Touch, Justin Phillip, Pleasant Run, Private Prize, and Strike Oil also worked on Saturday.

Caleb’s Posse (#23) worked 5f in 1:01.20 (3/31) at Oaklawn Park. Willcox Inn (#49) went 5f in :59.40 (3/22) at Keeneland. Washington’s Rules (#90) breezed 4f in :48.40 (12/34) at Keeneland. Lumberyard Jack (#91) traveled 5f in :59.80 (4/22) at Keeneland. Also working on Friday were Grind (Churchill Downs), Rocking Out (Gulfstream), and Zoebear (Fairmount Park).

Patrick Valenzuela will ride Indian Winter in the Santa Anita Derby. Uncle Mo leads the way at 3-1 in the pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager, which ends it run at 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.
