Today's Derby contender works included a four furlong breeze from Delta Jackpot runner-up Decisive Moment. He suffered a slight soft tissue injury following a 5th place finish in the Risen Star but seems back on track now and could make his next start in the Florida Derby.     

 

#90 Uncle Sam – 6f in 1:12.60 (1/2) at Hollywood Park.

#91 Decisive Moment – 4f breeze in :49 (2/16) at Calder.

#187 Grant Jack – Breezed 4f in :49.60 (12/28) at Oaklawn Park.

King Congie (#88) breezed 5f in 1:03 (7/11) at Palm Meadows. Z Appeal (#145) worked an easy 4f in :52.80 (26/27) at Calder.

Saturday’s Rebel Stakes from Oaklawn Park attracted a large field including Archarcharch, Elite Alex, J P’s Gusto, Sway Away, and The Factor. The purse for the April 9  Wood Memorial has been bumped up to a cool million thanks to casino operator Genting New York.
