Today's Derby contender works included a five furlong bullet from Champagne Stakes (G1) show finisher I’m Steppin’ It Up. Humble And Hungry, 8th in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, breezed four furlongs over the all-weather surface at Sagamore Farm.     

 

#36 Humble And Hungry – Breezed 4f in :49.20 (3/4) at Sagamore Farm.  

#62 I’m Steppin’ It Up – 5f bullet in :59.60 (1/33) at Gulfstream Park.   

#102 Adulare – 4f in :50.50 (35/42) at Palm Meadows.

Notes:

Arch Traveler stalked, pounced, and held off Nacho Business in the 3rd race at Gulfstream Park on Feb 26. The nine furlong allowance test, a possible prep for the April 3 Florida Derby, was run in 1:52.36 and the runner-up was finishing the better of the two.
