To Honor And Serve cruised to a strong prominent throughout tally over Belmont Stakes hero Ruler On Ice in Saturday's Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby at Parx.

To Honor And Serve tracked longshot pacesetter Rush Now through solid splits of :23.29, :46.62, and 1:10.22. The Bill Mott trainee took over, opened up a clear lead, and coasted home by 2/1-4 lengths under Jose Lezcano. He stopped the clock in 1:47.34 and paid $5.20 as the betting favorite.

Ruler On Ice rallied strongly for the place after surprisingly falling well off the pace from the inside under new pilot Garrett Gomez. He spotted the winner ten pounds and finished fast once in the clear on the outside.

Rattlesnake Bridge was in the hunt throughout and easily held the show. Arthur's Tale rounded out the superfecta and was followed across the line by J W Bluw, Norman Asbjornson, Rush Now, a slow starting Pender Harbour, and 93-1 outsider Isn't He Perfect.

To Honor And Serve, a 3-year-old son of Bernardini, has now won two straight and could target the Breeders' Cup Classic at Churchill Downs on November 5.
