Book'em Danno, winner of the Grade 1 Forego last month, worked Thursday morning for the first time since that victory.

The 4-year-old gelding by Bucchero breezed four furlongs in 50.0 seconds at Monmouth Park for trainer Derek Ryan, fourth fastest of seven at the distance.

The Forego, a win-and-you're-in for the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile, was Book'em Danno's third graded-stakes win in a row, following victories in the Alfred G. Vanderbilt (G2) in July and the True North (G3) in June.

Ryan said after the race that Book'em Danno will have only one more race this year, and that if he ships to Southern California it would be for the six-furlong Breeders’ Cup Sprint. Other potential targets include the Phoenix (G2) on Oct. 3 at Keeneland and the Vosburgh (G3) on Sept. 27 at Belmont at the Big A. The Vosburgh is a win-and-you're-in for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint.
