Thursday works: Beauté Cachée, Newgate lead 25 graded winners

Beauté Cachée, who is 2-for-3 in graded stakes this year, worked Thursday morning at Saratoga.

The 4-year-old France-bred mare breezed four furlongs in 50.0 seconds for trainer Chad Brown, the 17th fastest of 30 works at the distance.

Beauté Cachée opened her year with a win in the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley, then was seventh in the Just A Game (G1) before winning the Matchmaker (G3) in her most recent start.

The only other Grade 1 winner on the tab Thursday was Newgate, winner of the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) in March but unraced since finishing ninth in the Dubai World Cup (G1) later that month. The 4-year-old colt went four furlongs in 49.8 seconds for trainer Bob Baffert, 24th fastest of 31 at the distance.
