Thursday works: Albus returns after Kentucky Derby

Grade 2 winner Albus breezed four furlongs in 48.0 seconds at Churchill Downs on Thursday morning. It was the fifth fastest of 46 works at the distance. This marked his first timed work since Kentucky Derby 2026.

The 3-year-old son of Yaupon is trained by Riley Mott.

Albus won the Wood Memorial (G2) at Aqueduct on April 4. He finished 15th in the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 2. He has a career record of 5: 2-0-1 with earnings of $436,288 for owner Pin Oak Stud.
