Eight-year-old Get Smokin is gearing up for another year of competition.

The gelding by Get Stormy, who hasn't raced since winning the Grade 3 Valedictory for trainer Mark Casse in December, breezed five furlongs in 1:00.0 on Thursday morning at Woodbine, fourth fastest of 18 at the distance.

Get Smokin returned to the tab in early April and had three works at a half-mile before going longer on Thursday.
