Thursday tab: Tamara returns, leads 12 graded winners

Tamara, the Bolt d'Oro filly who was 2-for-2 before finishing seventh in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, returned to training Thursday for the first time since that race.

She worked two furlongs in 25.2 seconds on the Santa Anita synthetic, the slower of two at the distance, for trainer Richard Mandella.

After winning her debut, Tamara won the Debutante (G1) by 6 3/4 lengths before her Breeders' Cup loss as the odds-on favorite.

Tamara was one of 12 graded-stakes winners with published works in the U.S. on Thursday.

Adare Manor (Uncle Mo), a Grade 1 winner (2023 Clement L. Hirsch), worked five furlongs in 1:00.4 at Santa Anita on Thursday morning. It was the eighth fastest of 40 works at the distance.
