Sunday’s Santa Anita Park Recap – February 22
Two wire job winners (8f, 6.5f) later in the day on the fast main track. Showers were around on Sunday and both downhill races were moved to the main track. The lone turf race (one mile) was nabbed by inside midpack stalker Papacoolpapacool.
Edwin Maldonado and Elvis Trujillo both booted home a pair. Jeff Bonde saddled two winners including Distinctiv Passion in the off the turf Joe Hernandez.
On the Early Pick 3 ticket front, I got the first two home (Magna Graduate, Private Marina) but Norastone was not quite doing enough (dueled, 4th) and let me down in the final leg.
