Thousand Words, Uncle Chuck big risers in Kentucky Derby future odds

Thousand Words has enjoyed quite an up-and-down journey along the Triple Crown trail, but after months of being the forgotten Bob Baffert runner, he is back in the spotlight following his win over Honor A. P. in the Shared Belief Stakes at Del Mar.

William Hill Sports Book has taken notice. It dropped Thousand Words to 12-1 on its Kentucky Derby Future Odds. He was 35-1 the previous week.

This week's other big mover at William Hill was Thousand Words' stablemate Uncle Chuck. The undefeated Uncle Chuck left Thousand Words in the dust in the Los Alamitos Derby in his last start, a result that looks better by the day.

Uncle Chuck's big test will come in Saturday's Travers Stakes at Saratoga against current 2-1 Kentucky Derby favorite Tiz the Law. If the current future book is any indication, William Hill is expecting a huge effort from Uncle Chuck and wants to get ahead of the curve. He was dropped from 25-1 last week to 10-1 this week without even running.

Despite his shocking loss, William Hill still very much respects Honor A. P. The Santa Anita Derby winner dropped to only 6-1 from his 5-1 mark last week.

Blue Grass winner Art Collector will be heavily favored in Sunday's Ellis Park Derby. A dominating win could make him the second choice in the Kentucky Derby as he currently sits at 8-1. A disappointing effort could leave him behind the likes of Authentic and Thousand Words.
