These were the weekend's fastest runners

Knicks Go in the Lukas Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs. Medina Spirit in Santa Anita's Awesome Again (G1). And Art Collector in the Woodward Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park.

These were the fastest performances in weekend races, according to published speed figures.

Medina Spirit and Art Collector each earned a 107 Beyer Speed Figure in their races. Maxfield got a 105 for his runner-up effort in the Woodward and Dr Post got a 104 for his third-place finish.

Dr. Schivel got a 103 for his win in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship (G2).

The Timeform figures paint a bit of a different picture. Top honors for the weekend went to Knicks Go, who earned a 130 TimeformUS Speed Figure for his win in the Lukas. Art Collector was second best with a 123, and 2-year-old Jack Christopher was next, with a 119 for winning the Champagne (G1) at Belmont.

Jack Christopher also got the highest Beyer Speed Figure, 93, among the 2-year-olds who raced over the weekend. Echo Zulu earned a 90 for her Frizette (G1) win, and Annapolis got an 89 for his win in the Pilgrim (G2), also at Belmont.
