These horses earned the fastest speed figs in the Breeders' Cup

The Breeders' Cup brought its share of surprises and impressive performances. Here is a look at the highest speed figures in Del Mar's big races.

Clearly, the fastest horse of the weekend was Knicks Go, winner of the Breeders' Cup Classic. For his 2 3/4-length win over Medina Spirit, he earned a 112 Beyer Speed Figure, highest of the weekend, according to the Daily Racing Form leaderboard. He also got the highest TimeformUS Speed Figure, 132, according to Craig Milkowski.

Medina Spirit earned the next-highest Beyer figure, 109, as did Life Is Good, who beat Ginobili by 5 3/4 lengths in the Dirt Mile.

Essential Quality, third in the Classic, got a 108 Beyer. Hot Rod Charlie, fourth in the Classic, got a 107, as did Golden Pal, winner of the Turf Sprint.

In the TimeformUS figures, Life is Good earned a 129, Yibir got a 127 for his Turf win, Loves Only You posted a 126 in winning the Filly & Mare Turf, and Golden Pal got a 125 in his Turf Sprint win.
