These were last week's 15 fastest stakes winners
Offaly Cool, a 3-year-old son of Kantharos, won his first stakes last week and picked up the highest Brisnet Speed Rating among the week's stakes winners in the process.
Trained by Jacinto Solis and ridden by Kendrick Carmouche, the colt led at every call to win the M.P. Ballezzi Appreciation Mile at Parx by 4 3/4 lengths. The victory brought his record for the year to 8: 3-3-1.
The highest Beyer Speed Figure, 100, among last week's stakes winners went to Vahva for her win in the Grade 2 Raven Run at Keeneland. Trained by Cherid DeVaux and ridden by John Velazquez, she picked up her second consecutive graded win.
Pioneering Spirit, second in the Brisnet ratings but getting only a 63 Beyer, won what turned out to be a match race in the Knickerbocker after it came off the turf at Aqueduct. Trained by Linda Rice and ridden by Jose Ortiz, the gelded son of American Pharoah pulled ahead of Commandeer in the stretch and won by 15 3/4 lengths.
