His unforgettable, 19 1/4-length win in the Pacific Classic (G1) netted him the highest numbers of the year from Brisnet, Beyer and TimeformUS.
After that, the ratings diverge.
We use Brisnet Speed Ratings as our ranking criteria and list Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form and TimeformUS Speed Figures where available for those ranked by Brisnet.
As the chart shows, Beyer and TimeformUS agree on five other performances in the Brisnet top 25: Taiba in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1), Life Is Good in the Whitney (G1), Flightline in the Breeders' Cup Classic, Stilleto Boy in the Californian and Olympiad in the Stephen Foster (G2).
But from there, the rankings diverge. Flightline's win in the Met Mile (G1), for example, ranked him at third in the TimeFormUS rankings, at 137, and earned him a 112 Beyer, but he doesn't show up in the Brisnet rankings.
