Howard Wolowitz, a 3-year-old Munnings colt trained by Jose Francisco D'Angelo, earned the highest speed figures among last week's stakes winners for his victory in the Holiday Cheer on Saturday at Turfway Park.

Sent off as the 2-1 favorite and ridden by Emisael Jaramillo, Howard Wolowitz overcame a slow start to win the six-furlong sprint in 1:08.10, missing a track record by 0.7 seconds. He earned a 101 Brisnet Speed Rating and a 103 Beyer Speed Figure.

The win followed a troubled ninth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Before that, Howard Wolowitz won the Franklin-Simpson (G1) at Kentucky Downs.

Touchuponastar also had a 101 Brisnet, along with a 98 Beyer, after leading at every call of the Louisiana Champions Day Classic Stakes to win by 5 1/2 lengths.

In the Kentucky Derby points preps, Journalism got a 99 Brisnet and 87 Beyer for his win in the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2), and Coal Battle got a 91 Brisnet and 84 Beyer for his win in the Springboard Mile.
