Two weeks after finishing fifth in the Breeders' Cup Sprint, The Chosen Vron bounced back nicely, winning the black-type Cary Grant as the 1-2 favorite and earning the weekend's highest Brisnet speed rating, 103, and Beyer peed figure, 100.

With the victory, the 5-year-old gelding has nine wins from his last 10 starts.

Ridden by Hector Berrios and trained by Eric Kruljac, The Chosen Vron dueled early with long shot Principe Carlo then took the lead for good in the upper stretch and won by 2 3/4 lengths.

Next on the list is Bob Baffert's impressive 2-year-old Nysos, who ran away with an 8 3/4-length victory in the Bob Hope (G3) at Santa Anita. He got a 102 Brisnet rating and a 97 Beyer.

Here are the figures for last week's highest-rated stakes winners, ranked by Brisnet Speed Ratings, with Beyer speed figures from Daily Racing Form and TimeformUS speed figures where available.
