When Touchuponastar won the Louisiana Champions Day Classic at Fair Grounds on Saturday, it was no fluke.

The 3-year-old son of Star Guitar, trained by Jeff Delhomme, had won his previous three starts and now has a career record of 6: 4-1-1, all this year.

With Timothy Thornton aboard, he led at every call Saturday and covered the 1 1/8 miles in 1:50.99.

The effort earned him a 104 Brisnet Speed Rating, the highest among stakes winners last week, a 100 Beyer Speed Rating, according to Daily Racing Form, and a 117 TimeformUS Speed Figure.

Last week's only graded stakes was the Starlet (G1), a Kentucky Oaks points prep at Los Alamitos. Bob Baffert's Faiza won by a head to go 2-for-2. The Girvin filly earned a 91 Brisnet, 77 Beyer and 96 TimeformUS.

Here are the figures for last week's stakes winners, ranked by Brisnet Speed Ratings, with Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form and TimeformUS Speed Figures as available.
