Coastal Mission, a 5-year-old, West Virginia-bred gelding, got the highest Brisnet Speed Rating among last week's stakes winners for his victory in the black-type Frank Y. Whiteley Stakes at Laurel Park on Saturday.

The son of Great Notion lost his first two starts of the year, including a fifth-place finish in the Cigar Mile (G2), but his win was no fluke. Before that, he put together a six-race winning streak, and he has a career record of 19: 12-3-1.

Trained by Jeff Runco and ridden by Arnaldo Bocachica, Coastal Mission earned a 105 Brisnet and a 98 Beyer Speed Figure for the win by a nose at seven furlongs.

The highest Beyer for last week, 107, went to Master of The Seas, winner of the Maker's Mark Mile (G1) at Keeneland for trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick.

Skelly, impressive in his Count Fleet Sprint Handicap (G3) victory, earned a 102 Brisnet and 103 Beyer for his effort.

Here are the figures for last week's highest-rated stakes winners, ranked by Brisnet Speed Ratings, with Beyer Speed Figures from Daily Racing Form.
