Five-year-old gelding Shaft's Bullet got the highest Brisnet Speed Rating among last week's stakes winners, earning a 102 for his victory in the Harrison E. Johnson Memorial at Laurel Park.

Trained by Gary Capuano and ridden by Carlos Lopez, Shaft's Bullet drew off in the stretch to beat three rivals, with odds-on favorite Nimitz Class finishing last. He also earned a 99 Beyer Speed Figure for his effort.

The highest Beyer of the weekend went to The Chosen Vron, who made it 11 wins from his last 12 starts with a victory as the odds-on favorite in the Grade 3 San Carlos at Santa Anita. Hector Berrios was aboard the 6-year-old gelding for the gate-to-wire win going seven furlongs. The Chosen Vron got a 102 Brisnet rating.
