Timberlake and Lemon Muffin took the spotlight at Oaklawn on Saturday, but it was Octane, winner of the Grade 3 Razorback, who got the highest Brisnet Speed Rating among weekend stakes winners.

With Julien Leparoux riding, the 5-year-old gelding won the 1 1/16-mile race by 3/4 of a length in 1:43.57 for trainer Juan Alvarado. It was his first race at Oaklawn for Octane, who brought his record to 18: 8-4-1 and his earnings above $1 million with the win.

Octane also earned a 97 Beyer Speed Figure from Daily Racing Form for his effort, but two stakes winners, Run Classic and Whittington Park got higher Beyers.

Run Classic got a 99 Beyer for his rallying win in the listed Gulfstream Park Sprint. It was the first start for the 6-year-old son of Runhappy since last May and his first for trainer Jose D'Angelo.

Whittington Park also got a 99 Beyer, his for winning the black-type Haynesfield at Aqueduct for trainer Jeremiah Englehart. The 5-year-old son of Midnight Lute returned with an allowance win in January after a four-month break.
