These 12 runners had the highest weekend speed figures

Speaker's Corner scored the highest Beyer Speed Figure so far this year for his win Saturday in the Grade 1 Carter Handicap at Aqueduct.

With Junior Alvarado aboard, he covered the seven furlongs in 1:21.34, earning a Beyer of 114, according to the Daily Racing Form.

The next-highest Beyer of the weekend went to Golden Pal, winner of the Shakertown (G2) at Keeneland. Irad Ortiz Jr. rode him the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:02.21, good for a Beyer of 109. Golden Pal also got the highest USTimeForm Speed rating of weekend stakes winners, at 129.

Taiba and Mo Donegal earned the highest Brisnet Speed Rating – 111 – among weekend stakes winners for their victories in the Santa Anita Derby (G1) and Wood Memorial (G2), respectively.
