Ted's Folly is the little engine that could

Back in 2010, a little horse was sold in a private sale to a woman on the west side of the state.

"When the scraggly little horse showed up on her doorstep, she said, 'I wouldn't have that ugly thing on my farm; I want my money back,'" trainer Wilson Brown related the story.

So the owners returned the woman's money and the little horse got back on his trailer and went back to his original farm.

That's how Ted's Folly got his name. Yes, that's right, the same Ted's Folly that won the $300,000 Springboard Mile at Remington Park last Saturday for his sixth win in a row to boost his earnings to $336,979.
